Health Net of California comes to the aid of two local clinics

In a recent corporate display of the “good Samaritan” spirit, Health Net of California provided a no-interest loan which allowed two Tulare County health clinics to reopen. The clinics were closed due to state budget delays in paying out Medi-Cal payments.

Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid program, which is relied upon by Californians and health clinics alike. Payments must be met for those who provide valuable health and medical services  otherwise they cannot deliver the services people count on.

The details about the loan arrangement were not fully released on the wires, and undoubtedly HealthNet had a vested interest in keeping these two clinics operational. However, it’s noteworthy that a health insurance carrier stepped in to pay for the operating costs of a clinic  to keep the doors open and ensure health services were rendered without interruption.
