Many women feel like they"re stuck in their jobs they"d like to leave. Why? They can"t lose the health insurance that provides coverage for themselves and their families. Women want health coverage that"s portable — to stay covered if they want to switch jobs.
A short article in the Wall Street Journal said it wasn"t a new trend. Before the presidential election in 2000, an opinion poll found 72% of women wanted their health insurance to be independent from their jobs.
Women want their health insurance to be separate from their employment, but the only way that"s possible is with individual health plans. So it"s a safe bet women want affordable individual options, too.
